It’s been confirmed. I shall finally be attending my first convention behind the table. I’m nervous as all get out and I’m scrambling to get things ready but I think it’s going to be a great show.
It’s the “Contagion:Outbreak” in Omaha, NE on June 10,11 & 12. A three day con that’s only a few hours from my house. Yay! They’ve got some great guests including Jewell Staite, the voice of Starscream (Transformers: Prime) and a crapton of Zombies. I’ll be in the equivalent of Artist Alley (tho I don’t think they’re calling it that). Table Number 205. I’ll be the nervous nelly parked right next to good twitter buddy and colorist extraordinaire, Eric White, without whom, I would not even know this con was coming!

I’ll be there all three days with Shattered Myth merchandise at the table. Both books, buttons, free bookmarks and candy! I’m hoping to have a few original art pieces available at the show as well–Mostly Transformers themed. If you’ve visited the Facebook page, you’ve seen a few of ‘em. The Zombie Optimus is 14″x17″ archival ink on bristol, the rest will be 9″x12″ done the same way. If there’s time, I’m hoping to get some Transformers marker-sketch cards put together beforehand as well so I might have some of those at the show as well. The originals must be purchased from the Gallery they’ll have set up in the center of the Artist area, NOT directly from my table. But make sure you come by and let me know if you’re planning to get one, just to fluff my ego and bolster my confidence!
Of course, I’m also going to have some Shattered Myth sketch cards and will be doing FREE custom sketches to anyone who purchases a book. In addition, during this convention (and immediately afterwards), I’ll be opening up commission slots. That includes Shattered Myth, Transformers, Go-Bots, Rom, Zoids, Voltron, or whatever you want. More details on that after the convention.
I hope to see at least a few of you there!

That’s awesome, man! You’ll have a great time at your first con, I’m sure!
Hope you enjoyed the con. I’ve been following your comic for a couple of months now, but somehow missed the Con. I’m even in Omaha! It’s embarrassing.
Awww. That’s too bad. It would’ve been great to meet someone that ALREADY read the comic! But I get the impression it wasn’t entirely your fault you missed it. Apparently they didn’t do a whole lot of promotion, it was a fairly slow show. My next appearance will probably be KC Planet Comicon, usually in March.
